There are a range of alternative options for young people as well including:
Camelia Botnar Foundation – study metal work, woodwork, horticulture, catering, grounds maintenance, painting and decorating, building, ceramics
Heathrow Employment and Skills Academy have launched a Care Leavers Project to support care leavers into the many roles available at Heathrow Airport. Through this care leavers applying for any vacancy will receive mentoring support and can also access a 7-day pre-employment training programme. Heathrow have opportunities in Aviation, Construction, Customer Service, Hospitality, Logistics, Administration, Retail and Travel Services.
Prince’s Trust – there are a comprehensive range of workshop sessions currently on offer to support young people between ages 16-30.
Did you know that if you are a parent under the age of 20, you can apply for a bursary to pay for your child care costs so that you can return to college to study.
