The theme for Gypsy, Roma & Traveller History Month this year was “Onwards with Hope”, focusing on the dreams and aspirations of Romany Gypsy, Roma, Irish Traveller, New Traveller, Showmen, and Liveaboard Boater communities.
We asked the children that we work with in schools to draw a picture to show their own hopes and dreams for the future.
Cognus’ Managing Director – Joanna Cassey – and Head of Inclusion – Helen Taylor – had the honour of choosing their favourites to win a prize!
All of the entries were amazing and it was a wonderful way to celebrate GRTHM by seeing the different aspirations and plans for the future that these children and young people shared.
