Traveller Education Superheroes!!!
Cognus’ Traveller Education Service supports and works directly with some amazing Gypsy, Roma and Traveller children and young people. We want to highlight and celebrate some of their achievements with you.

Work Experience Win!
During weekly 1:1 sessions, the Traveller Education Team supported a Year 10 pupil to find and secure a suitable work experience placement with a landscaping company. He completed this in March and did such an amazing job that they have asked him to come back and work with them during the school holidays. What a fantastic advocate for future placements and role model for other Traveller children demonstrating such success in secondary school.
Attendance Achievement!
Thanks to our team working collaboratively with a family, school and our Attendance team, two of our Traveller pupils in Year 2 and Year 5 have received certificates for ‘Most Improved Attendance’ in their year groups.
Mum was delighted when we gave her the good news as were the two girls who were presented with their certificates in a school assembly. Keep up the good work!
