Cognus works collaboratively with schools to support, guide, challenge and provide strategies to improve the quality of teaching for those new to the teaching profession in the local area. Previously termed Newly Qualified Teachers, the Early Teacher Framework was launched in September 2021.
It is a statutory requirement that Early Career Teacher undertake a two year induction period. Cognus’ Early Career Teacher service coordinates and delivers the statutory induction of newly qualified teachers on behalf of London Borough of Sutton.
In addition to expertly guiding those responsible for induction in schools, our team can also help with:
- Undertaking observations and fidelity checks in schools
- Providing feedback to the Induction Tutor and ECT in relation to Teaching Standards progress
- Reviewing ECT support plans
