Network Meeting
Our School Attendance Network Meetings provide an opportunity for school attendance leads, pastoral staff, and senior leaders to come together to share good practice, discuss current attendance priorities, and receive updates on local and national attendance developments.
These termly meetings offer valuable insights into emerging trends, statutory guidance, attendance strategies, and support available to schools. They also provide a forum for networking, collaboration, and problem-solving with colleagues across the borough.
New for this academic year, we will also be offering a dedicated attendance network session specifically for special schools. This session will focus on attendance issues, challenges, and best practice relevant to special school settings. Colleagues from special schools are still warmly encouraged to attend the wider School Attendance Network Meetings alongside their specialist session to benefit from borough-wide updates and networking opportunities.

Attendance Officer sessions
Our Attendance Officer Sessions are designed specifically for school office staff and attendance officers who are responsible for the day-to-day administration and monitoring of pupil attendance.
These sessions provide a supportive forum where colleagues can seek guidance, ask questions, and discuss attendance-related challenges with the Attendance Support Team and peers from across the borough. Whether you would like clarification on attendance processes, advice on managing complex cases, or support with implementing current guidance, the sessions offer an opportunity to gain practical solutions and increase confidence in your role.
Alongside discussion and networking opportunities, attendees will receive relevant attendance updates, information on emerging issues, and examples of effective practice being used in schools. The sessions encourage collaboration and knowledge sharing to support a consistent and effective approach to attendance management.
