An Attendance Contract is a formal agreement between a school, parents and, where appropriate, the Local Authority. It is designed to support improved school attendance by identifying barriers to attendance, setting clear expectations and agreeing actions to help secure regular attendance.
Attendance Contracts form part of Sutton’s Attendance Graduated Response and are intended to encourage positive engagement with attendance support before legal intervention is considered.
