A Notice to Improve (NTI) is a formal notice issued to parents where a child’s attendance has become a cause for concern and support and intervention have not secured sufficient improvement. It provides parents with a final opportunity to improve attendance before further legal intervention may be considered.
Notices to Improve form part of Sutton’s Attendance Graduated Response and are intended to support improved attendance through clear expectations, identified support and a defined improvement period.
