Sensory regulation practical workshop – primary

This interactive session introduces parents to sensory processing and its impact on children’s learning, behaviour, and wellbeing. With a focus on the primary years, parents will gain a clearer understanding of how children respond differently to sensory experiences and why this matters for their development.

The session will explore practical, everyday strategies to support sensory regulation both at home and in school, helping children to feel calm, focused, and ready to learn. Parents will also take part in hands-on activities to experience sensory differences for themselves, building empathy and confidence in supporting their child’s needs.

There will be space for discussion and questions, ensuring families leave with strategies that feel realistic, positive, and tailored to daily life.
