Cognus Education Safeguarding Team’s E-Safety Advisor delivers online safety awareness training for staff in the Children’s First Contact Service

On Friday 24th May, Steve Welding, E-Safety Advisor, delivered online safety awareness training for staff in the Children’s First Contact Service.

Thank you so much for the session.  You think you have an idea of the risks, but they are constantly changing.  The resources were also helpful and will be used for signposting.

‘The internet is a fantastic place for children to learn, create and have fun, However, they may occasionally have to deal with a variety of sometimes challenging online safety issues and risks’ (www.internetmatters.org).

Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility.  We all want what is best for our young people and we are all in this together.  It is important that multi-agency training is delivered and attended regularly. This will upskill all staff in Sutton and ensure they have access to the most up-to-date information to help keep our young people safe.
