  • Depression, Chronic Fatigue
  • Eating disorder, body dysmorphia
  • Autism, ADHD

across the range of age, culture and ethnicities, religion, and socio-economic status.

Post-doctoral qualification approximately 10 years ago, although my initial specific interest was adult psychosis, I have gravitated and specialised in the concerns of young people in particular autistic individuals and ADHD.  Within the neurodevelopmental arena, I am particularly interested in autistic females, Autism and transgender.   Since my early beginnings as a Clinical Psychologist, I have seen the information, understanding and support of and for autistic females and transgender and autism grow considerably.  However, there is much further to go. I aim to be of service to support autistic young people in Sutton, ensuring that they thrive with the support of clinical work and research.

My name is Lensey O’ Grady and I am an Assistant Psychologist working as part of the Clinical Psychology Team at Cognus. I have been working within the Mental Health sector for over 10 years and completed my master’s in psychology in 2016. In this time, I have worked in various settings across London and Ireland, including educational provisions (mainstream and specialist), NHS community-based clinics, inpatient and private settings.

I have experience working with several mental health difficulties including, anxiety, depression, PTSD, OCD, attachment difficulties and psychosis.

My focus over the last number of years has been supporting Autistic young people and their families in understanding some of the mental health difficulties they may experience and optimising their wellbeing. I hope to be of support to the Autistic community in Sutton, through targeted assessment and intervention, facilitated with compassion and respect.
