Mental Health Support Team: The Domestic Abuse (DA) Team
Our team provides early intervention mental health support within the school setting to 12 Sutton schools who are part of the DA cluster. The team is a part of the wider Education Wellbeing Service.

Comprised of a multidisciplinary team, Sutton DA MHST brings together expertise from various mental health professionals, including Clinical Psychology, Educational Psychology, Education Wellbeing Practitioners (EWP), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Drama Therapy and Art Psychotherapy.
Our role as a MHST is to support schools to adopt a whole school approach (WSA) to mental health and wellbeing. Whether it’s providing one-on-one interventions or group therapy support, delivering psychoeducation workshops, or supporting school staff to implement proactive mental health strategies, our team is committed to promoting psychological well-being and creating a supportive culture within educational settings.
By bridging the gap between education and mental health care, our team endeavours to not only address emerging mental health needs but also to support our schools to cultivate cultures where there is understanding, acceptance, and resilience can grow.
